I have set up my Wookong M with a Spektrum DX7 on my X8. Flight modes are set up successfully for Atti, Failsafe and GPS (on the flight mode switch) and reflected in the LED change of colour. Because it is a DX7 there is no separate switch available for a failsafe. IOC is set up but the LED does not show any changes. Motors spin correctly in motor check. But when I turn off the transmitter failsafe does not activate.  Motors do not arm and spin either. Any ideas appreciated. On the verge of "binning" DJI for 3DR which I know works!

Curiously, the receiver does not register a brownout when I turn the transmitter off. I have several other RC models and they ALL register a brownout!
