Hi guys

I’m using a crystal sky with my spark via WiFi and only getting about 50 meters range, so tried to set the WiFi channel from 5.8 to 2.4 but I have no option to change is. Am I missing something?

I'm afraid you're missing   the thousands of posts on this issue which is as yet unresolved.

So, let me get it straight.... even Crystal Sky cannot connect to RC using 5.8GHz band in Europe? This is just hilarious.

It’s stuck on 5.8, it’s a right bummer as I can’t use otg because I loose all flight data and can’t connect to 2.4 to get any range

And how about switching to custom and selecting your 2.4GHz channel? The one from 1 to 13 with least interference which on picture will be 11?

I get up to 200 metres with a remote, but it varies a lot.
The weak image alert at least seems to be long before the rc control is lost.

Ios works on 5.8, android (crystal sky) doesn't.EU regs not  crystal clear.

Thing is that Spark RC DOES work on 5.8GHz band when connected to AC even in Europe. So not sure why another DJI product like Crystal Sky does not.

Spark works on 5.8 because dji made it to.
Android app does not support 5.8 in europe, plssibly because of regs.

Spark is also Android based. Maybe they just forgot to enable 5.8GHz in Crystal Sky's Android in Europe?
So, the thing with 5.8GHz is not hardware but software limitation. I know this firsthand as I am frequent flyer between Europe and USA.
The very same Android phone DOES support 5.8GHz channels DJI is using when US sim card is inserted in it and does NOT when EU card is inserted.

Whether they forgot or not, they've had it posted ad nauseam that it don't work here. Six months now with no resolution really.

Yeah... so try to click Custom -> Choose channel with least interference from 1 - 13.
So, you are looking for channel with lowest green bar.

Hi, guys. Please ensure that your devices can support 5.8G. CS supports both channels. If the problem remains, please inform us.

Looking at replies like this, it just amazes me how ignorant and incompetent people are working at DJI.
And explains why we have so many issues with DJI products.
