No, don't use the app - do it manually. Here are instructions for resetting and re-linking controller:
To reset controller:
• Turn on the controller, the aircraft should be off.
• Press C1, C2, and shutter (top right button nearest antenna) on the controller and hold for about 2 seconds or so until it beeps (D-DDD), then turn the controller off.
• Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote if needed.
Manually re-linking controller and Phantom:
• Turn on both the aircraft and the controller.
• Press C1, C2, and the record button (top left button) on the controller, then the controller will beep 'D-DD'.
• Let go all fingers, then press the wheel on the right side of the controller (It's a 'click wheel', similar to a mouse wheel) and then the first light of the controller will become blue and it will constantly beep DDDD.
• Use a toothpick or paper clip to click the linking button on the aircraft and hold for 3-5 seconds, and then take the pen off the aircraft and wait, it will be linked soon.
Otherwise, it sounds like the firmware hasn't properly been applied to the controller. Re-install the latest version of DJI GO (there's been recent updates for both iOS and Android), connect internet-connected device to controller, power on controller (with P4 powered OFF), start up GO and let it check version levels. If you haven't updated it should tell you that v1.9.3.0 is available - let it update.
If it doesn't alert you, then on the device page (where it may still be showing you an Inspire), there's a 3-lines icon at top right of the screen. Press this for at least 5 secs, and it'll then display the firmware levels available. If you're already at that level, you can still refresh the firmware, so try that. |
