Hi Folks,

Another windy non-flying day, so spent some time this morning looking through check lists on here, DJI Support, YouTube and other helpful forums on FaceBook and the internet, such as Mavicpilots.com.
I've copied bits from a number of sources, with thanks, and adjusted the list to suit me. It's a work in progress, but hopefully will help me avoid problems in the future.  

Any thoughts or comments welcomed!

Very nice, indeed. Won't be complete until you include your ('you' being whomever is using checklist) birth, growing up, education, inevitable death, funeral and burial.

MavikMatt: just looked it over closely. Very useful indeed for getting ALL of one's ducks in a row and completely sorted (if one could sort ducks). Highly recommeded, especially for those new to the Drone Game™, as it brings in many issues and bits not necessarily related to a day's flying but are still important to having one's system in good-perfect shape.  

Props (no pun) to you, sir!

After 30 second hovering check all possible controls (raise/lower air craft, turn both ways, check all four movement directions) to be sure everything working as expected.

Very thorough! Thanks for sharing! All I would add is to ensure that video recording has been stopped BEFORE turning off the battery on the drone.

Exactly - that has happened to me before and I lost 18 minutes of amazing footage! It's one of the most important post flight checks. I would also add stitching panos on the app between landing and shut down and uploading flight data in the app too.

LOL - it was exactly like that It was a long time ago but I've always remembered to tap that red button before switching off the battery ever since.

I like 'em too, as I used to fly fix-wing aircraft, and also put in 6 years in the Air Force, where there are checklists everywhere. Yours is very, um...comprehensive.  I like it.

As a new flyer, these lists are great. One thing, in the more complex list, it'd be nice to know what to look for on certain elements. Or what statuses should be present, etc.  I also ready you should look for compass interference...

Thanks very much but I didn't take the photo although I do own a Mavic 2 Pro
