Technically the Mavic's minimum operating temperature is 32°F / 0°C, but I've regularly seen comments from people who fly theirs in lower temperatures with no trouble and done it myself on occasion. The biggest caveat is to keep your batteries warm until right before they're used, as that seems to be the weakest link in the chain.

If you have more than one battery then just keep them all warm before you use them and you will be just fine.

Make sure to watch battery levels, and try not to fly to aggressive.

Ï'm use to flight at -10 -15 without any issue, same flying duration as usual. I just switch on the mavic around 1 min before taking off to allow the battery to warm up.

I have a photographer's vest with lots of pockets. With the vest between me and my coat, the batteries stay warm until taken out to use.

The Mavic will be ok and as others said just keep the batteries warm. The larger issue I found is the cold causing the iPhone or iPad to shut down. A few days ago my iPad mini when from 100% charge to shutdown in about 10 minutes. Had to fly back without the usual visual reference.

I flew on Monday.  Went through 2 batteries and had very good flight time.  Not sure what the air temp was,  maybe 35 or so.  My Mavic was in my house until ready to fly.  My wife gave me the drone for my 60th birthday in the end of Oct. I've had it in the air 30 times or so.  I guess due to the cost of drone, I'll be patient and wait for decent weather [at least upper 20's].  The second time I took it up I had it hovering over me at 200' and all of a sudden it just started flying away on it own.  I did regain control and brought it home.  The only thing I can think of what might have happened  is; it was windy at ground level and the winds must have been screaming at 200'  I down loaded an app that shows upper winds and after watching the weather, wind, if the wind is 15 to 20mph at ground level, winds can 35 to 40mph at 200'

I live in Northern Alberta and flew my mavic in -35 deg Celsius last week to get some pictures for work. This was probably pushing the limits but I only flew for about 7 minutes with no problems other than freezing my hands.

I have been playing mine in Chicago. The temps here have been 0 to 10°. I don’t fly long because my hands can’t take it. But I have not experienced any problems.
