Flight log http://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/VYIQRRRCQACGQHB3B6ZU/#
this only shows to where it lost communication w/ transmitter.. (about 1/2 way to 1st waypoint)
P3 standard was flying a 'waypoint' mission using litchi http://prntscr.com/hug8zb
screenshot of full 'saved' mission flight path (where it should've went)
all settings in litchi were still default.
Lost it yesterday just before dark, drove around where i was able inside the flight area w/ transmitter and app still active but never showed to regain connectivity
If you look at the mission planning, you have all waypoints set at 30 metres (100 ft) above launch point.
But the local terrain is not flat.
Looking at the terrain for the route you find a point on the route that is approx 100 ft higher than the home point (before you add the tree height.
Your most likely search point should be there.
Somewhere between the yellow arrows.
My guess is midway, right at the first trees.
ps ... thanks for supplying all the appropriate info to make this easy.

I went to the area you suggested, but if you notice the orange area below.. all trees in that area have been removed about 2-3 months ago for future construction. I looked in the few tall trees still around the baseball field, and there were a couple in
front of the base ball field on the other side, but no luck.
also, if it helps, the gps coords of start point and waypoints were
32.212382, -95.208871
32.221277, -95.223470
32.216741, -95.228084
32.211077, -95.220374

Ahh I see how to load that path into google earth now..
that really was about the best spot to look for it.. maybe someone found it and just hasn't called me yet..
Here's still image taken from video a couple days earlier taken by drone.. (shows the cleared out area of trees) and I kind of rough estimate of flight path

Even without trees, the Phantom would have been dragging its landing gear on the ground at the lower yellow arrow.
How tall are those trees?
some of the trees left in that area are 30-40ft easy.. and I searched about 20-30m to either side of the midline of the path, but maybe I'll try again in the morning and go a bit further on the west side.. (the east side of the line is church parking lot)
