I have been liking to by a fpv system, many looking at black pearl 7" monitor kits. There is another brand that I have found call kuma cam. Same specs as the black pearl, 1300' range but is lower prices then the black pearl. Has anyone gets of or own this system? Here is the link to Amazon ad.

I've discovered that no matter what I get, at some point down the road, I'll wish I had gotten something else.  Of course I have to realize that I didn't have the knowledge and experience I gained during that period.  So hey, you have to start somewhere.

Personally, I went with an immersion 600mw transmitter and Fatshark goggles instead of a monitor because I didn't like dealing with the glare from the sun.

What I have seen is those kit look like it would cost more money then to just buy what you want individually . The black pearl monitor is like $220.00 the immersion 600mw transmitter is $90.00 that $310.00 and you still have $200.00 for antennas and cable.

I bought the commander FPV kit from DSLRPros.  It comes complete and their tech support you good to great on any day.  I use the monitor for framing shots and am considering fpv goggles for more precise work.  Like this weekend shooting kite surfers in Jalama Beach, CA.  Goggles would have been great, but so would winds less than 20 to 25 miles per hour.
