So according to our host in Iceland, a new law was introduced at midnight on 31 December 2017 that all drones have to be registered, I landed mine at 23:55 (there were no real differences with the fireworks at the turn of new year)

Nice video, thanks for sharing but were you not concerned about a wayward rocket coming towards your drone
I was, yes. seeing as the fireworks were not organised and therefore anyone could let them off. I picked my position where I could either see someone who would be considering firing at the drone or the drone was protected by the church. a couple came very close and you can see in some of the edited out footage where it shook the spark!! the smoke from the fireworks also masked the lights.

The video looks cool, My only concern is if those super bright flashes from the explosions do any damage to the camera sensor?

I hadn't thought of that, although the footage does make them look closer than they actually are. Is there a way I could test whether that may be the case?

Thanks
I was looking at the section starting about 2:20.
Overall it was a really good video the colors looked great at night. Good job.

Maybe i'll do some low level tests of the camera / sensors as I hadn't really considered that the flashes could cause longer term issues to the operation. Thanks
