Hello guys, just registered so I am an absolute newbie!!

I will preorder a Phantom3 for sure in the next couple of days. I was wondering a couple of things and maybe you can shed some light.
The first question would be: I saw one video showing that there is a wired connection between an iOS device and the RC, is that for live video feed? Is is mandatory to have a cable or can it be wireless?
The second question is: does the camera have zoom in capability?

The video is a 720p downlink using lightbridge. Its not connected to the P3 if thats what you mean?? But i'm pretty sure to achieve full capabilities of lightbridge etc. etc. you need to plug into the USB on the back of the controller. then into your phone.

No - no camera zoom function.

zoom = fly closer

Device must be connected via a wire.
No zoom.

Zoom is included! Its on the RC prominently placed on the right stick. If you push it away from you the drone camera will zoom in.
