There are some videos out there of mavics flying in the rain. Not recommended but the props spin so fast it blows the rain away.

Again not recommended but it can be done.

When I worked with electronics, pure distilled (not de-ionized) water was an acceptable way to clean electronic assemblies.

The biggest problem with salt (sea) water is that it is a conductor of electricity and also quite corrosive so it must be thoroughly flushed immediately if your b1rd contacts salt water.

As long as batteries/power is disconnected pure distilled water will not cause any further damage but it will require several days of gentle drying to remove all moisture. Some have advocated a bag of rice, this probably works but have never tried it as I just leave components on my veranda under the Aussie sun to gently cook.  (Of course this last named facility may not be available in the U.K.)

No more questions - I believe we all know the answers that the Mavic is NOT waterproof as I orginally stated and I'm pleased to see that you finally accept that now! Took a while but at least we got there in the end!

really old thread.  but i will say that DJI overengineered things on most of their "prosumer" drones and up.    mavic series or the phantom series by no means is waterproof but i never had an issue with my mavic pro or mavic air in the rain, i do not recommend flight in the rain but seems that DJI has built vents and cooling system and tolerances of how things fit just tight enough and in such a way that if your caught in a rain storm and your racing it home, you should be okay..

My Mavic Pro hit canyon wall and drowned in very fast stream of the mountain river.  I could not get it back because of cold water, deep river and fast stream. Next day I came with my friend who had underwater costume and equipment.  He found drone and took it from water.  The drone was in water for more than 24 hours. I checked battery and it showed me just one light.  I brought drone home  and put it in a bag with rice. After a week I took it from bag, put new battery  Everything works except of camera motor.  Drone flies, takes pictures and video.  I am going to fix camera motor by replacing camera cable.  That was absolutely fantastic result!

None that I know of? SwellPro makes the Splash Drone 3 and it's the only waterproof drone on the market that I know of?
