I do not know what is going on, but my Samsung (Android) and PC sees the WiFi RC network (2.4GHz) after running RC twice. As soon as I turn on the RC, there is no network from the RC. Only next off / on causes that WiFi with RC is visible. What am I doing wrong ? I use the translator, so I apologize for the mistakes.

It's not that easy to understand your question but I would suggest that you go once again step by step through the Quick Start Manual: https://www.dji.com/spark/info#downloads

Hello,

I had the same issue with my brand new spark RC.
I had the latest firmware on it 01.00.0400. This is the problem.
After downgrading to an older firmware, all issues gone. Now my dji go app complaining all the time that i have an old firmware on the RC but well.
Does anyone from DJI know what the release notes were from each RC firmware version? Can we have a list?
I cannot wait to fly my spark tomorrow. :-)

Hi there,

I am not sure i understand correctly..
But,
I would say this depends on the country you are on and where you bought your Android device.

For example:
I have two mobile devices: a Samsung S7 and an Iphone 6. While i was looking on Youtube, they said if putting the Spark in the 2.4GHz mode, the range will increase. So i changed the channel to use the 2.4. After that i noticed that the Samsung device (android) cannot see the RC Wi-Fi signal. But my IOS could see it.
At some point, i got frustrated and i changed back to 5.8GHz and my Samsung was able to see the RC WiFi.
I am not a specialist, but i think in EU, the Android devices cannot see the 2.4 network..
Maybe we can check with a network soecialist

So try to reset to factory settings. If tour Spark was bought from an EU country then it would reset to the 5.8GHz network and your Android phone would detect it.
I am curious of that will work.

Good luck!

1. I turn on Remote Controller,
2. I turn on SPARK,
3. RC reports green LED connection with AC,
4. In this moment there should be a WiFi network (RC -> Android 2.4GHZ), but it is not there,
5. Turning off and turning on the RC, after a while RC lights up a green LED... and now is the connection of Samsung A5 with RC (2.4GHz).
This is not an android problem because other devices also do not detect WiFi networks (in point 4).
I hope that my description is now more understandable. (I apologize for the google translator)

Yes, now I understand. Simply change the startup sequence. First connect mobile and RC, then switch on Spark as last device. This will also save you some battery for flying.

Reset WiFi (pressed and hold the battery power button for 9 sec) solved my problem. I change the startup sequence too. Thx all.

It doesn't work this way too.  When Í do your sequence of  steps, the RC links with mobile. Then when you start the SPARK , the RC establishes  the link with SPARK and then disconnects itself from Mobile !!
There is a lot of irritating link issues with the new version V4.1.22 and SPARK fw 0.9000 and the RC Fw 0.4000  .  Iam talking here about the Android version even after testing on two mobiles.
