Hello, I had a question about the returned home button. I was told  that the drone has to be semi-close In order for the home button to work. My question is this, if the drone is a mile and a half away and out of my view, can I hit the home button and bring it back home without any issues except maybe obstacles in the way?

Yes it will work. You need to make sure your return to home height is set higher than any obstacles in the area.

Hello,It does not have to be in VLOS for it to work.

You can be 3miles out and it will work. Btw you may want to read your manual.

Like others have said, yes, the RTH button will work and is a good solution when you are having image transmission/app troubles and you are too far away to see the drone’s position.

I hate this button. Killed my drone on first flight, I read the manual but I panicked when the drone refused to land 1 meter away from me.
