I am recording in D-log and H.265 and wonder how can I reduce sharpness in FCPX - I am seeing a lot of tutorials how to increase sharpness since this is more common but in my case, I want to do opposite to give them more cinematic look. Here is the sample video I would like to reduce sharpness on:

Honestly I think the detail looks great. Check FCPX Effects plug-ins. He has a vast amount of plug-ins for FCPX. There may be something there that will do the trick. Price is right and they work well.

I wanted to slightly reduce the sharpness, not increase it Vimeo's compression doesn't reflect how sharp this video is.

This looks amazing to me!

I understand that. They may have a plugin such as a softener that may work for your needs.
