Hi,

Got the ND filter for MAvic from amazon.. Neewer brand ..
But I just notice that i need to put it aftter gimbal initiation.. is it common? is it safe to put on after gimbal initiation? doesn't it put more stress?
Is there any brand that you can have it installed and pass gimbal initiation?

Polar Pro will be safe

I have the Neewer ones and they work fine. The older ones did that so you must have not gotten the latest version.

I've just bought some Neewer ones, which are you referring to as the old and the new, and when do you add yours to the camera?

I put mine on with the Mavic powered off. It powers on and does the gimbal power on test with no errors.  It's been awhile since I've seen folks complaining about them. Sorry, I don't remember how long ago they started shipping the improved ones, you might be able to Google it to sort it out. I'd do that for you and give you a better answer but I don't have time right now, sorry.

tried second times and it works.. it seems like need to push all the way back past gold line and it is good to go..

too expensive for polarpro...
As long as it fit nicely and pass the gimbal initiation... I am happy,,,

I have the neewer ones as well from amazon, tried them yesterday put on while Mavic was off. Went through calibration with no problems. Received them for Christmas and tried them for the first time.

better to put the ND filter before starting the Mavic , preferably with gimbal lock installed.
