All the locations were with the copter in mind the only shots I kind of setup were with the horse

How have you found the compression to be prohibitive?    Hard to tell from YouTube clips.   I did some really nice water stuff the other day but the artifacts were quite pronounced even in the original, and got emphasized through grading.

I did a second grade pass and did some power window blurs and luminance shifts over the worst affected areas.   Seemed to help but would be interested in your results.

there are  definite artifacts I've found if it underexposed at all it looks terible
