A little odd as the specs only list WIFI 802-11N 2,4G, i know BT use 2.4G but not a word of BT in specs.

The specs are about the aircraft. The aircraft uses WiFi802 etcetera to talk to the device running the App. BT is used by the device running the App to talk to the so called RC -which is actually a gamepad. Google the approved types listed at the bottom of the FAQ...

Yes, fun in a small package.
This is actual RC flying too. Unlike the DJI drones which hover when the RC sticks are freed.

Yes, having great hand eye coordination is mandatory. ;-)

Playing an instrument can be awesome as well. I have a Motif XF8, which require ten happy prodigits.
That's why I can't and will never be comfortable hand catching my drone. ;-)

In fact all of my favorite activities require my ten fingers in good stead.
Archery/bowhunting, gardening, leather work, playing music, even building my Align TRex 700E DFC HV, helicopter model.

Yes, all great bass guitar players use all ten... Nothing but the best.. Some of my favorites are;
Kenny Gradney, John Entwistle, Jack Bruce, Jack Casady, Roger Glover, John Paul Jones, Victor Wooten...
The list goes on. Someone I don't hear enough of is Stanley Clarke.

Susan, DJI's page for this Tello says "Controller Compatible" do they make a RC for this? I hate flying with an app, would want to teach the kids using an RC for real world flying down the road.
