Well ladies and gentlemen, and whoever else is out there. I need your help desperately with the following.

Recently I made a fantastic discovery, as seen in the picture below I found this drone on a pile of junk behind the clinic, waiting to be removed as waste material. Whether it was lost, thrown out by accident or had simply crashed, I have no idea. I cannot find a registration or a manufacturers name anywhere, it would appear to have some minor damage and the propellers are missing. Does anyone know where I can get parts to make a repair and advise me if the DJI controller can be used to fly it, and of course which firmware I should install? Interestingly, the propellers seem to have some sort of special gimbal so they can rotate and tilt at the same time, a most interesting innovation. Sadly the gimbal and camera are missing, but the central fitting looks like it might be compatible to that on the Inspire 2. It would be great if DJI would lend me a ZENMUSE X5S to try out. The drone itself seems to be made of a valuable light metal alloy and is clearly one of the more expensive exclusive models in the manufactures range. This is clear when you see the dark almost obsidian like finish. Thank you all in advance for your help.

I am aware that DJI do not like to be seen supporting third party things so if you want to be discrete you can contact me here - dockater@frankfurt-nervenheilanstalt.de

That’s a five legged phantom 5; it’s a throw and go, once you throw it all will become clear.

OK I've seen this before, the USAF has plenty of them and unfortunately I have too much experience with them...however, do not confuse it with those of the US Chair Force.
Here is what you need to do first RTFM, or read the manual!  Twice!
Then search YouTube for Pentagon Copters, not to be confused with the US DoD version although closely related in some areas.
After which you will need to search E-Bay and Amazon (you might also try Office Depot, there is an outside chance they will have the parts you seek) for replacement parts...head back to YouTube to see how to rebuild her...from there you should be ready to fly, I'm sure you can handle it.
Shout out if you need any pointers!

It’s the Flintstone FPV edition with only yaw and pitch axis. Oh dear - it looks like the pilot deployed the ejector seat!

Susan, thank you for your input, it brought me to the right track, together with the input from Genghis9. I seem to have located the pro version, see reply 7#. I had not considered that it might be from manned drone, I do hope there is no corpse lying around somewhere.

It was found behind the clinic! Go back and check for a body. You might be able to sell parts to fund the repair parts for the drone.

Very good!
FYI - careful using the recline lever you might find yourself on the roof before you realize it.  While it never happened to me, I've heard stories.

I do believe you are right. I have sold it three times on eBay and it has always come back.
