Had a couple good flights today, and decided it was time to buy a 3rd battery.  After charging the new battery for the first time, I attached it to the Spark and prepared to update the software.   All is well, then a pop, and silence.  The battery popped out of the Spark while powered up and sitting on the desk.  This new battery makes the sound of clicking into place, looks to be in place, but easily pops out.
Think I’m finding all the quirks with this drone, but am working through them.

The DJI dealers don’t want to deal with customers once an item is opened, not sure if that applies to parts/battery.

Just a warning to check your battery is secure before flying.

ok, i had a carefully cut out sticky note, with my name and address on it, attached to the flat area on the back of the battery compartment.  Removed the note, and now the battery locks into place.   Tolerances are a bit tight.  Any little bit of flash on the molded parts would do the same.  Tried to duplicate the issue with another battery by adding in more layers of paper, but could not.  Expect there is some design change on the battery catch.  Also noticed that the bottom edge of the new battery that pops out has a sharp edge, the other batteries the edge is smoother, slightly rounded.

Shade, please provide us a picture about the battery. Please follow the video and attach it correctly. We would not recommedn user attach note on the back of the battery compartment.

This video shows the same issue I'm having with the new battery.

Elektra, Would DJI know the serial number range for the batteries with this issue.  The design of the batteries that came with the Spark have some small changes that solve this issue.

Returned the battery that was popping out, and selected a battery at the store that seemed to lock into place.  Later found one tab was not locking.  Decided to file and shave the new battery a bit so the tabs would engage properly.   When both tabs fully lock down the battery seems very secure.
