The second part of my "BEAUTIFUL AUSTRALIA" series, this time from:
#2 South Australia.
During Christmas holiday we went on a road trip to South Australia. We drove over 3800km and visited many places in South Australia including Adelaide, Port Augusta, Flinders Ranges National Park, Marree, Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre National Park, Kimba, Lake Gairdner, Lake Giles, Gawler Ranges National Park, Pildappa Rock, York Peninsula, Innes National Park and many more...
All footage recorded with Nikon D3300 and DJI Spark.
Nailed it! Been into traditional photography for years and it is hard to do justice to vast landscapes like these in that format, the Spark really captures them fantastic. Brilliant color balancing and overall continuity in white balance and exposure - presume you shot most of this in manual mode.
Really loved the opening reveal. Composition is brilliant in each scene, great use of rule of thirds. Great forethought and setup in some scenes also - the shot of the car approaching gives the sub-conscience feeling that a film crew was following you around :-) But I know the effort that goes into a shot like that, going ahead of yourself setting up a camera and then retracing your steps to approach the set up camera - my wife is used to it now :-) But little shots like that make such a difference to the overall feel of the final project.
Really enjoyed that, will be watching again to pick up some ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Just fantastic in every possible regard, probably the best video I have seen so far. Gosh, you are really setting very high standards for little beginners like me... Thank you so much for sharing it and please keep on posting!

Wow AlanIRL, thanks for such a thorough comment. I am really glad you like it. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I have experience with photography but I am just starting with filming. In fact, I only started making videos since I got my Spark (so thanks to him)

Thank you Watchberger, really appreciate it, that means a lot!
Very inspiring! Really great video, it only proves that you don't need the best equipment when you have passion for what you do. Makes me wanna get out and fly!
What is the situation with commercial music on YouTube?
I think technically and legally in most places it is considered copyright infringement even if you own the CD or paid to download the song. But if you are not using it for commercial purpose and as just a background to a photo album or holiday video, you'll most likely be fine. YouTube will flag it as copyright protected when you first upload it, but you can just go to edit and click on one of the many options it gives you to chose why you should be allowed to use the track. I think "Fairuse" and "I own the CD" are 2 of the options, or least they used to be.
I think if you have a major youtube channel that is creating an income, you would then want to be more careful.
I'm sure others here have looked into it in more depth...
You can use almost any music you want, as long as the video stays on youtube and the music owner allows you to use it.
When you upload a video to YT with some music, you get this notification:
Ads might appear on your video.
Copyrighted content was found in your video.
The claimant is allowing their content to be used in your YouTube video. However, ads might appear on it.
Viewing restrictions: None
Monetization:Monetized by claimant
If you agree with these conditions, you don't have to do anything.
In other words, only the music rights owner is monetized (from ads etc).
Great work in each aspect, love the mixture of human appearance and the wild life, and the landscaping, amazing work indeed, and as editing wise top notch. Well done and thanks for sharing such a wonderful work.
