Bryan, sorry for the confusion. The beta is not sent by email. Actually, the beta is already available in your account, you can log in your account in DJI Assistant 2 and refresh the firmware.

Hi Jake, the main feature of this beta is the pano and gimbal calibration fix. If you are interested in it, you may leave us your DJI Account. When the beta is available, you can log in your account in DJI Assistant 2 to refresh the firmware.

Copy that. The beta firmware is for P4A aircraft. And the main difference between P4A and P4A+ is the RC, so it works as well, no worries.

will do. i am a bit tired of turning my assistant2 on every 15 min to check wether i can update or not. any chance we will get a notification per mail or something? or will it just magicaly appear in next 2 days?
i made the mistake to update and now my P4A+ is bricked... again... *sigh*

I got my update through DJI Go 4 app also!

aaaaw didnt arrived today.

since most people already have the beta i think there is something wrong. can a admin check why i still unable to see any beta update?

nope its not there. and i am living near shenzhen so i know when HQ is working or not.
i think there must be something wrong. i just used the remote to update but there is nothing. also assistant says under beta is nothing. just the normal 2017 firmware.

alright fellas,
seems i will give up.
while waiting forever for the beta (which never appear on screen or assistans2) i installed a fresh firmware and reset everything. now i am getting all kinds of error messages on the screen which i cannot click away anymore. like vision sensors are off. wind velocity is high (zero wind here just now) and the most fun message i got just now at 450 meters height:
all of those i CAN NOT CLICK AWAY! which makes it really enjoyable to fly when half of the screen is full with error messages.
and here we are again. with a expensive piece of fine technology, almost bricked by new firmware. i think i am done with the beta and fancy pano function. i just want be able to fly in the upcoming holidy next week. but we all know how that will turn out dont we? disaster, here i come.


*sigh* i remember the old days with my P3A where i just went out to fly without any problem.  good times, good times...

I understand your frustration and very sorry about this. I've double checked with the team that you have been added twice. If it is still unavailable after refreshing the DJI Assistant 2, please kindly offer another working DJI Account for backup, we'll try our best to help you.
As for the limited flight distance, please log in your account on DJI GO 4 and disable the beginner mode to see whether the warning remains.
