have P3 preordered and about to pull trigger on Inspire as well. I've been using a P2 with GoPro and have gotten used to the simplistic nature if GoPro Studio. I also subscribe to the Adobe CC products so Premiere is included (if I don't go Premiere route I'll just back down to $9.99 program). Assume I can use GoPro Studio to edit videos from the Inspire, right? I'm also fluent in iMovie but hear FCPX is also great. Not opposed to picking that up for larger, more involved edits. What do you suggest here?

Separately, can I save videos/stills direct to iPad Camera Roll for access to shots in the field? Thx.

Get FCPX. Forget gopro studio or iMovie. You can't save to an iPad from the app. But you can transfer with a card reader. Some say the iPad will play 4k files but I have not found this to be true. I don't even bother to transfer to the iPad... Takes way to long. If you want to review just turn on the inspire and the controller and preview the video from the camera.
