Hmmm... I usually stop tripod mode first, than switch to Sport.
I guess there might be some software glitch when switching from tripod (software thing) directly to sports mode (via hardware button on remote).

Apart from the fact that you were flying well above permitted altitude I cannot see anything abnormal, others might be able to see more though. I would suggest you open a support case with DJI for further analysis: https://www.dji.com/support

Cleanest log I've ever seen. RTH point was set correctly, at the end of log, Spark is peacefully hovering in place.
Even if signal was lost, it should have RTH. File a case with DJI.

I switched off tripod mode, went into sports mode to descend forward slightly and  lost video signal.
I then hit RTH button on the remote but  did not hear the usual beep-beep sequal but instead longer single beeps with pause long pauses between them.

i must mention that i had a few 50s drones before i decided to finally pay up for a spark or mavic and one of the husban 501s dived out of the sky at that exact same spot, i thought a duck got to it but at 130 meters or 500 feet it was impossible anything else flew.

Maybe the wind turned it upside down and it shut off or its a software glitch as mentioned here, whatever the case is i just made the video for my dji care  because i missed the 48 hour curfew and waiting for the reply!

we own the amusement park here, the limit according to French rules is 50 meters or 30 inside the park although its totally closed., 400 meters is the max general limit in France if at all.

Hi Gavriel, looking at your log it reports nothing strange, your log finishes with AC at just over 500ft 63% battery with no warnings on your log, it looks like a power failure, checking your battery everything looks to be working perfectly, there are no pilot errors .
Can you check warnings in your app also in your flight playback to see if any warnings show up.
We have seen this before but no explanations for it, some will say battery popped out but I’m not inclined to believe this.
Dji will be the ones to decide this, the fact that your log ends with no conclusion and you don’t have a drone will probably not help your case, however as far as I can see the only way this spark can power off is malfunction.
I wish you luck with dji.

I agree with the others that have commented.  There really isn't anything that appears out of the normal in the logs or in the video you posted.  The video is very nice and is very peaceful, however, it appears to be the first 3:08 of the flight, not the end of the flight, so it isn't much help in trying to figure out what happened other than to see that it appears to be a beautiful day there.

Unfortunately, looking at the map and coordinates of the last position, it looks like it would very likely have landed in the water as I'm sure you know.  Do you have any friends that enjoy scuba diving?

I'm jealous of your weather and beautiful green grass and trees with leaves on them.

I wish you the best in finding a positive resolution with your case.

We're glad to inform you that your verification video has been approved by our staff.

You can now purchase DJI Care Refresh on DJI official website directly. Please be reminded that your S/N verification will be invalid 72 hours after your video verification approved.

So at least it was clear the drone was perfectly fine..and i always checked to make sure the batteries where tight after seen a few videos about that,

I also found out that DJI replaced many fly away Spark combos (remotes) under warranty (not care fresh ect), you can search youtube for yourselves...sad sad, and now they tell me that the DJI tello will replace the spark although it flies 100m limited to wifi it can receive radio from a spark remote..hmmmm its smaller and will be way more popular at 100€

no, i flew the drone in the house to test it the first day, then did not realize i had 48 hours to register for the care refresh, so they required a video to confirm the spark was in good shape which is what the email confirmed.

People are saying that the drone should be replaced under warranty, NOT using the "care refresh" which i will purchase tonight.

Based on the info i provided it looks like the drone shut itself off just after finishing a pano shoot., it literally cut video signal, but...i just realized that my iPhone battery was low and i found airport on, i was synced to the remote via wifi due to instability of my OTG cable which was going in and out, but even then the RTH should of kicked in which it did for a few secs, then 1 sec beeps and 1 sec pauses, a few minutes later i heard a louder and longer 1.5 sec beeps and pauses from the remote, so if you guys can check to verify what all that is by for example forcing the spark to shut down by turning it upside down to see what sounds the remote makes...very much appreciate it thanks

Everytime whe I head about this I am feel more scary, the DJI for Android is very complicate in my Moto G4 Plus for example When I make some quick shot (Rocket, Helix or Dronie) the app dont finishe the process, it means I can't take photo or make a video, I most to close the App or land my drone to Can make videos again. I had some situations during flight when the App close with no reason.

I'm form Brazil and I dont know if DJI Will give another Spark if some problem happen.

One of the ways RTH can function is if the connection between RC and AC is disconnected. But at the end of the flight log there is no Return Home mode indicated and still in Sports mode.

Well keep your hopes up, while waiting for DJI response on your case.

Who has told you that Tello will replace Spark? By no way I believe this to happen. Tello might be fun, but it's a pure toy and by no way comparable to Spark.

Did you RTH after switching to SPORTS mode.  I don't see this in the flight  log .  Must press the relevant R/c button  to initiate RTH.
Also it seems that the SPARK was hoovering after you switched to SPORTS mode awaiting your command.

i did RTH but it does not show anything happening, if the RC lost contact the drone normally goes to RTH automatically....but i have no idea what took place, the best way to verify this is by DJI looking at the actual logs on my dji go app.

to be honest the spark is not enough to call a serious drone, maybe the next version can get there if DJI adds 4k, better left right gymbal movements and more stable RC connections allowing longer distances and times. , i did not mention that i was using one of those reflector antennas you can attach to the drone...did not do much at all to be honest.

So in my humble oppinion, if the tello shoots video as good as  the advert less people will buy spark and instead the Tello, you cant realy fly far with the spark, all the tests i have seen online are straight paths in clear areas...a single tree decreases the distance by 30%!
