I think I just found the drone to replace my Mavic pro which ended up upside down in the surf.


No longer would fly always be an issue! But I be real concerned catching a big fish with it!

But now you can go get your Mavic!!!

Long story short, the propellor broke off at the pivot point, rear leg folded up and drone tumbled into the salt water. To DJI credit they offered me a replacement refurb, but at a cost which didn’t make sense, especially when new drones are getting cheaper and cheaper due to model update expectancy.

Sorry to hear about the Mavic, but what you are now suggesting has serious altitude issues, and is missing a large black vertical stabilizer on its back.

I am sure that you are are aware that the food chain underwater is more extensive than that on land. The average size of what swims around in Australian waters makes the underwater drone seem like a very attractive bait itself. Anyway I cannot believe its cheaper than a new Mavic.

Agree, but I do like the idea of dragging safety equipment around, chasing fish and mapping the sea floor.

Maybe it's time to merge the ideas. Use a few of these PowerDolphins to create a quad-carrier for ocean landings and takeoffs.

Great Idea - I heard 2 weeks ago (sadly) that someone with a waterproof drone crash landed 1 km up the beach here. Drone never to be seen again. So even if waterproof, not guarantee you will get it back. SO if you find a waterproof drone near Rainbow Beach - please let owner know at https://www.facebook.com/RockReportRainbowBeach/
