Got the drone on Christmas. Its never flown. When I start it up the fans turn on, the gimbal swivels, the front left arm led goes solid red, the back left arm flashes red/green, the right motors vibrate and produce a loud beep at a approx 1 sec interval. I was able to connect to the DJI Go 4 app on my ipad and update the software on the drone and remote to the most current version. I can manipulate the camera with the controller.
I contacted dji tech support three times. They asked me to update the firmware again with "DJI Assistant" which I was unable to do. It errored out at 32% multiple times. I updated again using the ipad. I dont know where I stand with tech support at the moment other than "someone will call you back"
You haven't really explained where your problem is?
Have you ever flown other RC models? Did you RTFM? ;-)
If the drone is broken, if it's malfunctioning, it will need repair or replacement.
So, you will likely have to create a repair ticket, unless you can return it to the seller and exchange it.
Have you tried to fly it? What are your concerns?
Please post a short video of the motor squeeling. Thanks.
Not sure where else to begin...

Here is a YouTube video of another phantom 4 doing the same thing as mine.
I have flown other drones but not extensively. I did RTFM but nothing covered the drone being unresponsive and just beeping. Maybe I missed the troubleshooting section. I did take a dartdrones class but nothing like this was covered.
Basically I’m trying to make sure there isn’t something I’m doing wrong here.
Thanks for the video footage. That's not good. I see that none of the indicator lights are lighting on the bird., ESC or firmware update error are my first guess but without further analysis, it’s hard to say for sure.
That sounds like an ESC error. If you connect everything up and turn it all on, RC first, then open the app, then turn on the Phantom and you might see an error message appear in the app.
Could you please refer to the steps Jenee mentioned to check if there is an error message in the APP? When did this issue start and did anything happen before? Besides, what error code have you got when you failed to upgrade the firmware? Could you please provide me some screenshots?
I was sure hoping someone found the problem, mine crashed and replace a bunch of parts and sounds just like mine......hoping for some answers somewhere...
