New interesting features available using the Cendence:
- lots of programmable functions on buttons, most of them are working properly and 99% of what a P4P needs can be hot linked, yay!
- new features unavailable with the standard controller such as gimbal yew control(not very useful imho and cannot be unbound without losing pitch control), dual remote operations/couch mode with dual controllers, right dial working in conjunction with hot keyed EV, shutter, aperture, ISO settings, manual focus with the knob(not very useful but works), things I can't recall
- exp gain for main sticks adjustable with the levers on the sides
- interchangeable batteries with Crystalsky!
This is a list of missing/non working programmable buttons/function when using Cendence to a P4P+ with firmwares up to date:
- white balance cannot be bound to a button or better you can but it doesn't work
- there is no option to do a fast downward 90° gimbal movement
- focus peaking works but hurts badly the frame rate making it unusable
- gimbal Yaw recenter works but with a strange(uneeded) quick camera movement, i'm unsure if it might cause long term damage to the motors or what, there is not much reason or need to control camera yaw on a P4P anyway so it's not a big deal
- no aircraft battery info on the Cendence small monochromatic screen, works fine on the Cystalsky
No test flights yet, but on paper the pros outvalue the cons.I wish DJI made an official support for Cendence + P4P but I know I'm just dreaming, what might happen on the other side is that they lock us out with a new firmware update without even announcing it in the changelogs, like a backstab in a dark alley, that's totally their style ;_;
