First video with the Mavic. South Nesting and Lingness are on the east coast of Shetland, a group of islands lying between the Atlantic and the North Sea, at 60°N and 120 miles from mainland Scotland. The winter weather is challenging for any drone pilot with frequent gales, and only five hours of useable daylight in December and January. But we do get some stunning winter conditions and last Thursday was one of those rare flat calm days with beautiful low golden sun that gives the landscape a unique light.



Shot in 2.7K/25p in d-cinelike, 1/50s +1, -1, 0, ISO 100 or 200 and ND8 or 16. Edited in FCPX and graded using Color Finale Pro. I used Neat Video to reduce the GOP pulsing on some of the clips.
