I have a 64gb sd card. Used it once and it worked perfectly. Tried to use it again and I get error on the controller saying SD Card error check app. I took the sd card out and reformatted it and still get the same error. I have a 16gb card that I dont have a problem with. The brand is sandisk ultra 64gb. What app are they talking about?

Have you tried reformatting in the drone using the DJI GO 4 app? I think you can get to the format option from the status screen.

Also some obvious things: when inserting the SD card you are putting it in in the correct orientation, right? Gold pins up. And  you insert it fully until you hear the click?

When you format in a card reader I assume you mean on a PC. What format? NTFS, exFAT, something else maybe? Both NTFS and exFAT should work fine (though I'd still reformat in the drone) but other formats might not be so welcome by the drone maybe?

Agreed. Always format sd card in drone
