I think "that ship has sailed"....in other words because of this recent announcement, along with the various range/connections issues the Spark has I believe the resale value id already dropping.

I'd keep it as even if you order this new Mavic don't expect delivery over night - the average wait time for new releases is 2-3 months...

I am curious what DJI will do with the line up of drones as i wonder how much more room there is for another model

I haven’t gone deep into the specs, but I don’t know what the big difference is already between say a Mavic, Mavic Pro, and P4.  Why would you choose one over the other.   To me the mavic, with it’s smaller size would e the obvious choice (given they are all 4K and 3 axis gimbal)

The spark I believe is well placed.  More of a budget / beginner device for amateurs such as myself.   If you really need the 4K and 3 axis adjustable FPS, then the spark is the step up

So is there room for a model in between that ?   How much differentiation can there be before you sacrifice sales in one for the other.

Apple seem to do this when they drop a product if it’s taking sales over another.  Look at the Mac Mini.  In 2012 they produced a quad core i7.    Took sales away from their iMacs, so in 2014, no more quad core and hasn’t been an update since.  

Anyway..just my thoughts...i’m sure someone will troll me now.  Lol

Yes, it must  be close the cutaway section in the video matches the mid section in the photo

According to the translation it could be wi-fi, that would be DJI's biggest mistake.
You'll notice all the speculation does not mention range, that's a bit odd for a fundamental feature, I'm hoping 5km using occusync

Should have saved it for the "museum of epic failures".  Or if DJI was nice they could allow a trade-in allowance.

That's a good point, trade in for DJI fan boys, you have a fair bit of their kit, there must be some sort of VIP status they can apply
or wait until the Spark is continued and then do a care refresh, oh shoot I didn't get one for the Spark LOL.

From the pictures I do not see how it could be 3 axis gimbal. Better camera is nice, but what I hope most for is occusync. Not for range but for connection stability.

NP. I also thought 2axis, but the upper right icon and next is symbol 3 axis. My opinion = 3axis. Yes occusync is main

Is it only me, or this looks more like a spark than a mavic? I bet the price will be the same as a Spark Fly More Combo. In a way, it feels like they are admitting that they messed up with Spark. Or maybe they are just trying to bridge the gap...

I think the price between spark and mavic and make room for more expensive mavic pro 2.

I am not impressed at al...This product did not catch my attention....It is just a foldable spark with better camera.....If it has not raw format ,,, i dont think that customers love it...Also in marketing rules this new drone maybe unlock more features on spark such as raw format waypoints etc,....
