Hello my drone was stolen today from the rental car on El Teide canary Islands. Is there a chance to find that drone or block?

There is a "find my drone" function on the DJI app, if they turn on your Drone, you might be able to find it, anyway try to contact via phone customer support

I think coverage is a problem since A. It is your responsibility to store it in a safe place
B. They can't cover a stolen item if it was perfect when you got it

I don't believe he was asking about having his Spark covered under warranty.  He is just asking if there is a way to track it.

Sorry about the loss.  Theft is one of those things that invoke murderous thoughts.  That is why they hung horse thieves and dug a hole under the gallows to drop them in for burial.  I think he is hoping to track it or brick it.  Should be easy since the drone talks to an app that is linked to a server before it can fly.  

No way to block your drone.

track your drone, find who stole it, tase them or something, and enjoy flying!

Look for websites specifically for lost and found. I found a post earlier about them finding a drone

that really blows. Keep an eye on craigslist and pawn shops. You should also submit your serial to the local authorities so if you do find someone selling your drone there is a record of the theft and proof (serial number) that it's yours

The best way is to go to police and tell them that somebody stole your divice. Then go to the lawyer https://www.wesettle.com/ and tell him the same.

I’m going to canaries tomorrow with a sh*t load of gear, hope I don’t need a lawyer at the end of my trip, although I do have insurance, travel insurance might cover this.

Haven’t had time to look at footage so far behind on that stuff, will put together some stuff next month.

I’m working in lanzarote for two days, surveying wind turbines, first time I’ve worked outside Ireland/ UK, so looking forward to it, it can be very windy out there but taking spark along , I will be there for a week, looking forward to it. Thank you.

Okay...in theory its a good idea, just not practical.

Sorry for your loss. Contact the Police and get a crime reference number then claim on the Insurance which I hope you have. You can't block the drone, tracking it is next to impossible and as for contacting a lawyer... NO! In a word LOL

I contacted my insurance company (white horse insurance Ireland) but the told me they dont cover Theft from the car...

Do they cover theft from a horse lol, seriously that’s a bummer.

Put your serial number online and spread the word, then if its found ask to change your number. If someone responsible wants to take the drone from the thief then they'll know its stolen. Sorry for your lost.
