HI there, I just set up my drone and can fly but only in Iphone mode and not with the remote?  Does it need to be in a certain mode or do I change something to fly with remote?

I just turn my remote on then I turn on the drone and they pair.  After they pair I launch the Go App and connect the cable. That’s all I’ve ever done.

Hi,  For a beginner, what settings and things should be checked e.g. Wifi or RC, mode2, other?

to fly only from hpone you need change position on mavic from remote to wifi
