I know of two places that will repair it for you:

http://www.usdronerepair.com/
https://www.facebook.com/USdronerepair  (Same folks)

http://www.uavrepairshop.com/

I am waiting to get my gimbal back from uavrepairshop right now.  I should have it Saturday, which will be a total 16 days since it left my hands.  In total I paid $160 plus one way shipping but my gimbal wasn't as broken as yours.  My ribbon cable was intact.  BUT... There were delays and sometimes a long time for returned calls or email, and I can't attest to results yet.  It could be a temporary thing as his life became a bit hectic, but at this moment I'd be inclined to use USdronerepair instead.

Lots of YouTube videos on camera repair, I would try that and Phantomhelp.com...
Is the rest of the bird o.k?

You've got at least a couple of options:

Repair by somebody else:
- Be prepared to wait
- Get out your checkbook/Credit Card
   1) Take it to the local dealer (if available)
   2) Take a shot with www.usdronerepair.com  Looks like they would charge a minimum of $80 to fix the gimbal.
   3) Get an RMA and send it in to DJI and see if they'll repair it
   4) Just bite the bullet and go ahead and spend the $675.00 for a new camera now

Repair-it-yourself option:
- Can save money and you can learn more about your hobby
- How handy are you with intermediate electronics, a sodering iron and small parts?
- Bizillions of YouTube video on practically every conceivable problem

Then check out the UK forums, might be your best bet to find something on your continent...www.uavforums.ukOr try droneexpert.nl in the Netherlands or surely some place in Germany....

And being from Italy is not a problem in my books!..My wife is part Italian..I just can't tell you which parts

Tom,

Short answer, yes. I spent about 3-4 hours yesterday tearing my camera apart to replace a bent gimbal arm. I sure wouldn't want to do it again but it appears to be working. I have not flown with it yet but it's working fine on the bench. The flat cable was a pain to work with for me. It is actually stuck to the gimbal arm with sticky tape and was difficult to remove without damage. You'll need to replace yours anyway so you won't have to take as much care. I had a lot of difficulty with the connection for the flat cable. It's extremely small and dainty. Better to give it a try than to spend $600 for a new camera or to send it back to DJI. Just my opinion, of course.

Tom,

Here's all I could find in the UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Replacem ... ds=dji+ribbon+cable

From your photo it does not appear to be "broken", however, I haven't had that happen so I can't be sure. Looks like it should press back in. If it does and you get the ribbon cable and find that it works, you may want to get one of these as well: http://www.djiphantomfix.com/
