Hi guys, I am looking to buy a phantom for my photography compagny. Which one would you recommend me? I live in Canada and I want a drone with a battery that resist the cold and the powerfull wind of my region without losing his fly time.
There are no temperature resistant battery models, for us tougher than Mother Nature Canadians.
We just have to keep our batteries warm before use. There are many ways to do that.
To compete against wind, you would need a professional quad copter. Something with powerful motors and strong body build.
The top of the line DJI multi rotors are entering that higher caliber arena. Stuff like the Inspire and their other Pro Systems, https://forum.dji.com/forum-61-1.html
Those much higher end pricey models. https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=forumdisplay&fid=90
Beyond those you are going to be spending bigger money, into the tens of thousands, for serious industrial strength stuff.
I can give you several fine examples of those delightful aircraft as well. If you wish, let me know, thanks. ;-)
Spending bigger money, and buying an actual professional model. Leaving hobby drones far behind.
This is dedication to a pricey model... But you will need two, with one for back up. Haha
If you want to seriously handle the elements, wind ~ water, what have you? I don't know where you live, or where you wish to fly, for that matter.
But there are certainly models that can easily handle all that you can throw at it. Relatively speaking of course. Wide grin
If you want a Phantom for serious photography, ignore the lesser models and get the P4 pro or one of it's variants (P4 pro + & P4 Advanced).
They have a much, much better camera than earlier models and are the only choice if photography is the main reason for buying.
As the Poker states it is not so much the battery that is the concern. You need power to overcome the winds and the spec on the Phantom is 32F. I have issues with mine at 36F once the wind chill gets inside and cools things down. Best to look at the Inspire.
Depending on your 'needs' the P4A or P4P are great 'serious' starters.
You can always upgrade to an inspire 2 with zenmuse X7 if you are really making enough money and need the (even) better image quality.
But that comes with a rather high pricetag and size also.
