I also had "File Error Error: 005_000 {000/0086}" but your solution worked perfectly.  Thanks for saving me all that time, frustration and energy! Can't wait to try out the free version although I would be interested in purchasing the Enterprise version if that was an option for us "regulars"

This worked perfect. Thank you!

It didnt work as a sub folder but when i made it a direct file folder in my c drive the install started right away

run it as admin! The installer does not request admin so cannot edi system files otherwise!

I don't know what can i do to connect the P3 controller because I connect it and the simulator don't do anything

I had the same problems..... It seems a common problem why didn't DJI have some read me for this?

Activation code?  I filled out the form and emailed it to DJI on Saturday.  It's now Thursday and no activation code.  I don't see anyone else with this issue?

Downloaded and installed. It automatically updated to the new version by uninstalling itself and installing new version, Then once you log in (with your DJI account) it gives you the option to download the free version which is about 2.2GB.

It works with my Phantom 3 Advanced controller even though its not in the list of supported hardware (Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Advanced, Phantom 4 Pro, Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, Lightbridge 2, M600 Pro and Mavic Air. Support for the Mavic 2 series remote controllers is coming soon.)

Hi, I just plugged it in via USB (through my monitor) to Micro USB and it worked. Not sure why yours isn't. What OS are you using? Just wondering if it is missing drivers?

No. It's all static. Apart from the moving blades on the turbines which rotate.

I'm going to uninstall it and re-install it from the DJI website, the trial version.  I'm sure I did that to begin with but just to be sure.  I will advise.

There was an update this week with the dji simulator, anybody know if it now works with the mavic 2 contrrolers?
Edit: Happy to report mavic 2 controller now works with latest controller fw update!

Another update came out just any one try it?  says version 2.1.0.2

I have and unfortunately still no mavic2 controller support!

After update at 2.1.0.3 my antivirus found a trojan in dji_fs.exe.

Anyone had the same issue?

With 2.1.0.2 everything was fine.

Yes it is that expensive just got a email from DJI and drones made easy the full enterprise version is $1,350 USD and the full customized version there basically is no price cause they will go out and map and  literally custom make the environment you are flying in.

Happy to  report dji simulator now works with mavic 2 controller with latest controller fw update!

Hi, I installed the simulator, I have RC Cendence and with DJI Fly Simulator, some buttons do not work very well like the standard Inpspire 2 RC and it always vibrates, can someone explain how I can solve it? or do we have to wait for a new firmware?

Me too. Bitdefender deleted DJI_FS.exe
Threat name: Trojan.GenericKD.40809342
Hesitant to run the simulator now.

Numerous people have run into issues with their AV reporting a Trojan error on the main DJI exe file. The AV quarantines this file thus the file error or file not found error when trying to run the simulator.  What is shocking is that with so many people encountering issues you'd think DJI would address the issue - nothing but crickets...

anyone who has a solution for the error(005_000). i tried the DFS map thing, did not work. I tried everything...

Here's what (finally) worked for me to get rid of that particular error:
1) create DFS folder under c:
1) UNINSTALL it fully before you try again
2) delete the dji entries from your user area appdata (local AND roaming folders)
3) RUN AS admin - run the installer, browse to the DFS folder instead of the default location
Sign in, and download the extra files to the same spot, presumably
