Hi can any one help me with the crop factor of the x7 when shooting narrow. I understand we get a 1.5 crop when we use the full sensor.

DJI hasn't published such nonsense, but if you're interested you must be some sort of a math freak. Which means you should be able to figure it out instead of making me do it. :-)
If you're comparing the diagonal of the video frame to a 35mm still full frame, the Crop for full sensor is 1.6. For Narrow FOV raw video it is 2.5, give or take a few pixels.

So does this make the 16mm lens 25.6mm eq when shooting film with full sensor, the DJI website states its 1.5 crop for stills giving a 24mm equivalent.
This also means that the narrow would be 40mm equivalent, this is getting quite narrow when I need to shoot 50/60fps

Sounds like you have that about right. One of the issues with DJI making its own mount for this camera is you're gonna be waiting for crazy wide lenses to give you a wide look in crop mode. Personally, I shoot almost everything with the 35mm. I love the look. Te the 16mm in Narrow FOV mode will be a fair bit wider than the 35 in full FOV, so you may find it's something worth exploring.

With Abelcine i can easily convert all to full frame and back. But would be nice if DJI just post the facts
I want to be sure that the 16mm on narrow is 27mm for example.

Yes, it would be appreciated if DJI had these figures in their manuals. They are not. I read somewhere that the crop factor is 1,5 for stills, 1,54 for video wide and 1,7 for crop. Please confirm.

I think Dji have given up helping with issues on the inspire 2/x7 combo.. or given up on me, I asked this question ages ago and they said they would get back to me, also having problems with DLOG (lack of it).. and no reply.. I find it very frustrating. I wish there was a bit of competition to get them treating us customs who spent a fortune on equipment to get the right help. anyway Ill just wait for the next update..maybe another 3 months! .

We are so sorry for the late response, after confirming with our engineers, when shooting narrow in 47.95-59.94fps, the crop factor is 2.48 in 17:9 and 2.60 in 16:9.
