I have done a second test with this stock firmware V01.04.0703 and everything works perfectly.
And i'm very happy with it.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. The firmware update is not mandatory, you can ignore if the new version bothers you. Sorry about this.

No i did not, but from the thread i link to it seem that some of the Obsidians got an upgrade from .0602 to .0703 that we with the white ones never had access to.
From my experiments AC v.1.03.0509 was the most stable but i would be unsure what happen if that was flashed to an Obsidian as there seem to be some secret differences among them.

Not a problem, because that's exactly what I did as soon as I got my Obsidian.
