this is amazing! excited to know I can fit my dslr, osmo, and mavic air in ONE backpack! Best perk as a videographer having to carry multiple backpacks currently

how is the noise from the propellers on the air?

Is this also called a Mavic 2 or is that different?

I did not see a breakthrough. Yes, he's good. But he's not as damned good as Mavik Pro was. Fixed (I hope, but not sure - a detailed and thorough check is necessary!) Some shortcomings of MAVIK Pro. Many wishes are taken into account.
What worried me
- still 4K 24 / 30fps
- reduced flight time, which in fact, if compared with the characteristics and fact of Mavik Pro, will be about 13-15 minutes,
- reduced the flight distance, which I assume is much closer than the Mavik pro, loss of communication.
That is, while I'm not burning with the desire to stand in the queue of the queue wanting to buy a new Mavik.

ARRRRGH My other half is going to go mad! Its gonna take some convincing seeing as I just bought a MPP and Spark Combo! but would so interested to get them all running at the same time for real world playing

Please increase the bitrate of Mavic Pro.

What the Mavic Air has is higher bitrate recording compare to the Mavic Pro.

Please please please do that.

Another Mav -e-lous DJI launch! A highly functional big sister to the Spark or the Pro's younger sibling if you prefer.  

Would love to borrow a Mavic Air to see if the HDR modes would improve my 360s!

I want the Mavic Air and the next Mavic PRO II

The small profile and new design will be a big selling point. For your average Joe, having a device that fits in your pocket and avoids lots of attention is worth a lot in my books.

I thought so, that's why it went so well!

In any case the Mavic Air is a new milestone in DJI and drone flying history that will be difficult (if not impossible) to overtake by any competitor in the near future I am convinced. And we the users have all reason look forward to an exciting new asset for our hobby!

I have immediately applied for the free trial offer, when can I expect an answer?

Oh that is so annoying, I posted about the live event in the unveil announcement thread and not this one, missed out on my chance of winning and getting points!
@dji team, perhaps when you do this sort of thing you could close the old thread and point us to the new one!

FWIW, the Mavic Air looks great, not sure it will replace my Mavic Pro, but certainly a better option for me than the Spark which I was considering for a bit of fun flying, might get this instead, and stick with the Mavic ecosystem.

The race is on :-)

This appears to be a bit better than the recently anounce  EV#  but at a lower price point. WTG DJI. I would get Mavic Air over that other machine.
It would allow me to pass on the Spark to my grandson, he is in his 20s.  And, if everyone upvotes this I may see a DJI hat and T
