I'd get Red or Black. White is too hard to see when there are clouds.

Looking from bottom up, all of the drones are the same color. The difference in color is primarily seen from the top. Not so much from the side and not at all from the bottom.

Upgrading from a P3A, you need to go with the Mavic or a P4P to maintain quality and range.  I still fly my P3A now and then, just for fun.  It's a bit like a TRUCK after putting in time on the Mavic.  Reminds me of jumping out of a 172 into the 310 and taking off.

Agree.  Once it leave the immediate vicinity, it is nothing but a silhouette.  

White to reflect sunlight

I ordered the white one. The white body is a good basis for a custom design

Totally agree. Only the top is colored and it's not likely you will see the upper color  except when you're flying down a mountain....

This is like the "when did you stop beating your wife" question. I'm keeping my money too.

Getting the white. I really wish there was a blue option that'd be awesome or rather if the shelf was easily changeable for different colors.

I got Black, but it doesn't look quite as ominous in real life. It's good, but not great. Kind of wishing I got the White, but I still haven't seen one in person. Owners of the White... do you still love it, or not so sure?

After finding out that the air uses ancient wi-fi instead of oyc. I went to my order page and had to hit the refund button. Wi-fi, really? Wi-if is like two tin cans with a string between them.....

The distance is significantly better than the Spark, but not as good as the Mavic Pro.
The distance it can travel though will be well outside visual range (which is illegal in most countries).

How often would you need to go to max range?

Damn wifi really. Couldnt have used ocusync? Sticking with my mavic pro. U guys in europe will have range close to the spark.   Im good just a spark 2.0

The EC range for the Spark is severe. The CE range for the Mavic Air is over 4 times as much as the Spark. It's not that much less than the specified CE range for the Mavic Pro (although many have noted that their range in CE countries is greater than the specifications).

The whole underside of the Air is Black so the color really will not effect the visibility that much (at least in my opinion -- after flying mine for two days now! )

I got the Black.  Originally had ordered the Red about 10 minutes into the Release Event, so was told it would ship on Sunday in the first batch.  However, I was leaving the US on Wednesday and DJI said it probably would not make it to me in time.  SO, I signed up for the DJI Event in Houston (also held on Sunday) so I could buy one in person.  The DJI rep had all three colors there so I could compare.  I was SO glad I was able to see them all, as I fell in love with the Black.  Way cool -- and BLACK IS FAST!

Probably gonna end up with the white. May put some crazy silly skin on it in the future too. Like a copper vinyl would be kinda neat.

ordered a black one on the 24th, it should be here any minute, just waiting for the DPD van to pull up.

It’s not the range that concerns me with wi-if it the live feed quality

From recent range videos of course occusync wins out. Talking 7km vs 4km (pushing both). But for its range, most users have been very impressed with the quality of the feed (albeit 720 as it goes further out). Significantly better than Spark (not hard to do). Pro cannot be beat in this area.

Couldn't decide between black or white. Decided to get the white one. Red is a bit too flashy for me.

I have the P3A and the Air.  What the P3A has over the Air is:
- 2 minutes longer (23 vs 21 min)
- Longer Range due to Lightbridge

I picked up a Spark last year, and I ended up using it more than the P3A.  For my flying, I didn't find the lower range or 18min battery to be a problem for me, especially since it was so much easier to grab and go.

Now with the Air, I get that same portability but also: (over the P3A)
-A faster top speed
-More flight modes
-Drastically better portability
-A Much, much, much better camera
-Collision Avoidance

The Air is a definite upgrade over the P3A.

If there was a color model that was $50 cheaper, I would get that color. Its totally utilitarian for me, I am not rolling down the street trying to pick up girls with it or show it off, just need it to do its job...must be why I never had a bumper sticker too. If anything, the ability to pump up the LED brightness from the remote would be interesting, when you lose sight and are trying to spot it, so say a camera flash level brightness, pulsing.

I chose white when making my decision because I felt it might be the easiest to spot if it ended up in a tree.
I also thought the contrast between the white black and silver looked the best. After receiving it I was not disappointed with the build quality, or my color choice.

I'm patiently waiting for the pink one...

I only replied because this Thread was brought up recently and yet you only have one mavic!

After I bought the Ph3se as my first DJI drone, the 2nd one was the Mavic air. The Air is much more sophisticated with many (more) features than the P3se. But if I see them both flying the Ph3se is a real flagship on air and so nice to see him in flight. Now I'm waiting for my third bird, the Mavic 2 zoom.

Yes, I only have one Mavic, and it's not the Air. Lots of Mavic Air remorse out there. Glad I never purchased an air. Next would be the Phantom 5.

Does having more than one Mavic make you cool or something?

someone replied to the poll that is why this thing was kicked in the front of the line.  I like having the newer technology, Time to upgrade.

I'm upgrading to Mavic Air and still debating between the White and Red!

i would get red because it looks nice in my opinion but maybe the onyx black as well

I got a black one, but recently changed it to red, via Wrapgrade
