I have the new Phantom Vision 2 plus V3
I am trying to have a little fun with the trainer port by using the following:
Heli-x flight simulator (demo version for now)
and
Smart Propoplus control program

along with the sterro jack I have....

got this off youtube...

so now I am trying to set the controls....but I have really no idea what the standard terminology is of the following and which controller direction it refers to.
collective pitch
cyclic roll
cyclic nick
rudder.......left controller right or left stck movement
x rotation
y rotation
x axis
y axis

does this makes sense to any one?

Collective pitch refers to the angle of the blades of a helicopter. Increasing positive pitch will cause the heli to rise. Negative pitch will decend.

Cyclic pitch refers to the angle of the blades plane (disc). The helicopter's direction follows the direction of the cyclic. Move the stick forward the blades tilt forward and the heli moves forward, left, right or backward

Rudder on a plane or tail rotor on heli controls the z axis (yaw).

Well..update...just before I go this I managed to get the demo simulator working....

as stated in a YouTube video there is a slight drift to the Phantom as it is played...and a slight rotation.
but overall.....it is not a bad practice.

easy enough to set up ....and pretty fun
