You'd be right if they had named it the Spark Air.  I'm not all that interested in the Mavic Air threads eithr, but many folks on this forum are.  So, I just skip them.  For those who might be thinking about one, all these postings are probably very appreciated by them.

If the Mavic Air could make me a pot of coffee when i scratched my @$$ i might consider one or make me a highball when i combed my hair maybe? If i flipped it the bird maybe it could roll me a joint or fill my bong.

Not asking too much from it are you? I'll settle for the highball

In terms of appearances I agree with you that it looks more like the Spark, but in terms of functionality it does seem to have more in common with the Mavic. In any case, as StanfordWebbie pointed out, it was DJI's call what to name it, and for better or worse it's now officially part of the Mavic "family" and this is the right place to post the threads.

yes it is but DJI should make a subforum for the Mavic Air so not to confuse people between the 2 don't you think? That's what most forums do. I'm just a peeon .......

I sort of agree, but they named it 'Mavic' air right.
Although it is (in my opinion) what Spark 'should' have been and 'should' probably have been named 'Spark Air' or 'Spark Pro' even.

Have you decided what you are going to get when you buy another drone someday? and ya it will be and is confusing for people already it seems.

Spark Pro would have been perfect, as everyone with the spark was wishing for a 4k camera
