Any time frame for the fix?  Roll back of iOS is not an option.  This is really getting ridiculous.  Trying to be patient but this is the norm now.

DJI are you aware that apple seeds several betas for some time before the release? other companies install them and fix their software ahead of release

Maybe dji doesn’t know about the beta program that’s available to anyone on the planet with an iOS device?? (Sarcasm) or maybe they don’t have internet?

I don't think roll back of i0S is supported by Apple.

You can do it, for a short period of time after an update is released.

What you'll never be able to do is to restore a backup from a newer version of iOS. So if you have no backups of the older version, you basically have to start fresh (as a new phone).

What about iOS 11.2.5, but staying with DJI Go 4, 4.1.22 ?

.
Alternatively, what about using the DJI GroundStation app (v1.8.1) or the Litchi app (v2.1.1) with iOS 11.2.5?

Never mind. I just saw in the original message from DJI that this only affects controllers where an HDMI module is installed. If you have an HDMI module, I take it that if you remove it, you will not experience these issues.

Can anyone confirm/verify this?

This thread reports a problem with the Spark, which doesn't have a HDMI module on the controller.

I can confirm that an earlier version of the DJI Go 4 app (v4.1.12), has no issues controlling my P4 and the transmitter has the HDMI module as well. I'm using an iPad Mini 4 on the latest version of IOS, v11.2.5.

Why should they care..??
Beta is just that, may change, may have bugs.
Apple use users to test, why should DJI test against an unknown.

They only need to "try" to keep up with "actual" released version.

Apple should get there act together and do fixed releases,
and not rely on the public to find Beta bugs.

MS do weekly releases and break things all the time, even cripple things.
Much to the frustration of Windows developers.

When I read this SUPPORT-WARNING right, I think that a Phantom 4 Pro with separate Remote Control and NO HDMI-card/accessory will work NORMAL.
I tested an could make a good and quick connection from the Remote Controller ((GL300F) Firmware: v. 01.04.01.00) with DJI GO 4 (v. 4.2.4) to my iPad Pro 10,5" (running 11.2.5) and my Phantom 4 Pro Drone (Firmware: V 01.05.0300)...
I did not have the possibility to fly... but it seems all should work...
No one else tried and tested with the above combination of iOS and RC and drone?
Would love to hear that!

Fly with pleasure!

I was having disconnected gray screen issues to GO 4 using iOS 11.x and took the HDMI off the P4 Std. (RC GL300C) controller and put it back to stock OEM module and it still occurs.

I blame Apple for a lousy 11 OS now with a flaky USB port.  It's happened with all 11 versions for me too on two iPads (Air 2 and new Pro 10.5" both.).

I’ve been lucky as so far so good with GO 4 and the Mavic. For the Osmo Mobile, I tend to use a different app anyway, as I don’t believe DJI GO support BT mic, which is required for the iPhones from the 7 onwards.

This is VERY FISHY indeed, never had problems using my iPad4 Mini, come Apple updates and go......just now they are having "compatibility" issues, and I think the problem is with DJI updates...not Apple.
Perhaps they want make the DJI CrystalSky more appealing? even that it is a heavy pineapple full of bugs?

Now my P4P is grounded again, tried it and sometimes IT STOPS responding to the RC, video now has pixels the size of an ant....what's next DJI?

This has NOTHING to do with Apple and its updates....This is fully on DJI for not using the seeded betas of the soon to be released ios operating system and making sure their app will continue to work.  This is the reason Apple seeds the betas to developers.  Most of these updates are to fix security holes so they are necessary and not really optional.

I've just been out flying my P4 with latest prod release (v...700) and my iPhone 7. iOS version is 11.2.5, and DJI GO is v4.2.4. I was able to fly fine. I did initially have a "disconnected" status reported on GO, but I power cycled the craft and it then re-connected fine.
Either power cycling the craft with controller and app already working did the trick, or this reported issue only affected those P4 controllers with the HDMI module - which, btw, is what the notice states.

Has anyone confirmed that the Litchi App is immune from this?  I am grounded and not rolling back to an iOS with known security fixes.  I own three Phantoms, and am not a happy camper.

I appreciate the notification, but you need to do better: test your apps against the iOS Betas that Apple provides and then fix issues before Apple releases the update.  Betas are available several weeks before iOS release.

I drove an hour and a half out into the desert, then baked for an hour in the sun while I tried everything I could to get the darn app to connect to the controller.  Nothing but "How to Connect."  3 different USB cables, 3 different iOS devices and nothing.  Tried uninstalling the app, but couldn't get enough signal to download the replacement.  I drove another 20 miles to WiFi.  The new app didn't work any better.  Uninstalled and reinstalled again and again.  Then I spent time in the forums and found this notice.  Then I spent two hours driving home, cursing DJI the whole way.

A few weeks ago, after working just fine, my P3P wouldn't fly more than 100 feet.  It took me hours of troubleshooting to somehow fix that (and still don't know what the resolution was).  This, also, was right after an app update.

You can avoid this, DJI.  You build awesome products, but I have been holding off on an Inspire 2 purchase because I just don't trust your software.  I'm not going to have a $4,000 paperweight.

I am with you.  I have been hesitant to depend on any DJI product because of this.  I have logged on, connected to DJI Assistant 2 from home and charged everything - only to get onsite and find this or that needs updated.  I hate using Data to do updates that should have been found an hour ago.

I love the Phantom 4 Pro and have taken some amazing photographs.  I have a Phantom 4 as a backup and use it in the fog, mist light rain etc.  It has a waterproof skin and flies nice.  I bought the goggles so a friend can fly along for the ride, and I have made people sick and smile in the same minute.

The craft are excellent performers, the cameras are as good as SLR's of 5 years ago and they are amazingly dependable to fly.  I have only had two crashes with the P4 and both were my fault.  Power Lines and a bird that was pestering me before he went through the fans.  P4 lost 1" of prop and landed hard with no damage other than bird stuff and feathers needed washed off.

I only use my iPad Mini 4 for flying the Phantoms 4 Pro and kept it up to date.  Now, having been burned by DJI once again, I will not update anything without a week of Forum members reporting.

Now to my question, I have decided to go back to a previous version of DJI Go4.
I have synced my flight logs on the iPad.  How do I, and Where can I find the previous version of the DJI Go4 app?  Is it on DJI's website?  I don't find it.

Thank You in advance.

I really struggle with this...

Why would DJI pay DJI software developers to constantly keep changing/updating code whilst Apple keep updating(beta) there software.?

DJI are not in the business of testing Apple software.
Apple have beta testers to test, when tested O.K release.
DJI then update against a "released" version.

Regarding security...
If you are thinking of Spectre or Meltdown, I have yet to see any report of in the wild attacks.
There have been some POC's that's all.

Given the very large "existing" and "apparent" loyal Apple user base,
That would be a somewhat risky strategy if you want to sell drones to them.

A CS is a pretty fixed niche product... I never even considered it.
I decided on an iPad Mini because it seemed less problematic ,
and just the right size to fit in the arms,
and I could use it for other things if I ever wanted to.

I purchased the 7.87 CS and returned it because of all the bogus warnings and a crazy compass.  Image is real nice, but it is very heavy and full of bugs.  I never had a problem before with my iPad4 Mini....until the last DJI update.

I still don't understand why DJI is pushing Android System (CS) instead iOS......must be all about sales

Before updating to iOS 11.2.5 my P4P was getting erratic, at one point commands from RC were not folloewd by aircraft  and video pixels were huge.

After the update to iOS 11.2.5  my P4P and DJI GO 4...WILL NOT CONNECT AT ALL

Grounded again until DJI come up with a new update????

I think DJI are stuck between a rock and hard place...

Android 18~20K variants
IOS walled garden, and Apples approach to let users and developers debug IOS for them.

They probably thought, at the time let users use existing devices, less manufacturing costs for us(DJI)
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but maybe they should have developed an RC with a 7~8" built in display.

If you consider an iPhone X materials costs inc batteries is about $360 for a very high end mobile device.
They probably could have built in a display/controller for something about $150 ~ $200

I suspect the external USB to external devices is one of the most problematic areas.
