I appreciate the notification, but you need to do better: test your apps against the iOS Betas that Apple provides and then fix issues before Apple releases the update. Betas are available several weeks before iOS release.
I drove an hour and a half out into the desert, then baked for an hour in the sun while I tried everything I could to get the darn app to connect to the controller. Nothing but "How to Connect." 3 different USB cables, 3 different iOS devices and nothing. Tried uninstalling the app, but couldn't get enough signal to download the replacement. I drove another 20 miles to WiFi. The new app didn't work any better. Uninstalled and reinstalled again and again. Then I spent time in the forums and found this notice. Then I spent two hours driving home, cursing DJI the whole way.
I am with you. I have been hesitant to depend on any DJI product because of this. I have logged on, connected to DJI Assistant 2 from home and charged everything - only to get onsite and find this or that needs updated. I hate using Data to do updates that should have been found an hour ago.
I love the Phantom 4 Pro and have taken some amazing photographs. I have a Phantom 4 as a backup and use it in the fog, mist light rain etc. It has a waterproof skin and flies nice. I bought the goggles so a friend can fly along for the ride, and I have made people sick and smile in the same minute.
The craft are excellent performers, the cameras are as good as SLR's of 5 years ago and they are amazingly dependable to fly. I have only had two crashes with the P4 and both were my fault. Power Lines and a bird that was pestering me before he went through the fans. P4 lost 1" of prop and landed hard with no damage other than bird stuff and feathers needed washed off.
I only use my iPad Mini 4 for flying the Phantoms 4 Pro and kept it up to date. Now, having been burned by DJI once again, I will not update anything without a week of Forum members reporting.
Now to my question, I have decided to go back to a previous version of DJI Go4.
I have synced my flight logs on the iPad. How do I, and Where can I find the previous version of the DJI Go4 app? Is it on DJI's website? I don't find it.
Thank You in advance.
