I initially had problems tyring to purchase the Mavic Air in AU$ from dji.com - it only gave me a USD option - and I couldn't choose an Australian shipping address... Eventually I noticed a profile setting to switch to Australia and was able to change this and place the order - but this didin't seem to be there on the initial checkout page.. so if you are having similar problems, I suggest that you go look for it.

Anyway... I was eventually able to place my order ..It will be interesting to see if they learnt from the Mavic Pro shipping debacle, and have plenty in stock.

I am interested to see shipping status updates for Australian orders... so if you have placed an order, please update this thread with any status changes

There are a couple of DJI stores around too. I know of one in Queensland. I would of waited for stock to come into them before ordering online tbh

DJI Store in QLD... Interesting... I am not aware of any.

There are a number of DJI stockists... e.g. JB HiFi and Apple, but they don't necessarily get stock beforehand... and it actually took them several months after I already had my Mavic Pro (bought directly from DJI) before they had ANY in stock...

I think if I order the fly more combo from DJI, I'm definitely going to be charged duty and gst, aud 1600 is way over the limit, I suspect it could be around aud 250 as customs adds the value of the free shipping.

Going to have to buy locally to save some money at the expense of a delivery delay

I'll let you know how I go - but current delivery according to DHL is 31 Jan... and as stated I am pretty sure that I will not hsve to pay GST or Duty (didn't have to on my Mavic P{ro Combo from DJI)

You were lucky you didn't get the duty/GST hit; I wasn't that lucky last time around. By law you have to pay GST for anything over $900 (i think; this might have changed).
I ordered the Mavic Air a week back (from an Australian online store - https://www.dronespro.com.au) and got it delivered today. I did not wanted to order something that might get hit by the GST and unnecessary delays.
