I have a P3A and at times my friends plug in my Head Play Goggles while I am flying with my Mini ipad and I want to know if they would plug in a laptop to the HDMI port would they be able to view similar to them viewing thru the Head Play goggles?  Yes, I have installed the module for the goggles.

I'm pretty sure the HDMI on most laptops is an output signal only.

Theoretically speaking, any device that has an HDMI port can be connected with the HDMI module. You can have a try.
