Which way should the Rc antenna be pointing.  I normally point it towards tge drone but i read somewhere in these forums that for max range, the antenna side shpuld be facing the drone. Is this true??

The strongest signal comes from the side.  Point it about 60 degrees away from the Phantom.

Sometimes I have it straight up, sometimes flat to the left, and sometimes my antenna is the same...

So far i have always pointed it straight upwards and start to get connection losses at around 90/100m.   Maybe this ia why?

The end of the antenna has the weakest signal coming from it.  Have it horizontal or only 30 degrees up from horizontal, you will go higher.
