I am comfuse how I can claim from Dji Reflesh about my sitiuation: Just about a week ago, I sent my old Mavic for a replacement due to broken landing leg, I just got my new mavic 1 week ago, I have been flying it since then, I had one issue with the new Mavic when I got it, the Mavic does not stay hoover, I went thru compass and IMU calibrating but it did not get fix, so I call Dji customer service, she told me to downgrade and upgrade it using dji assistance 2. So I did. After I had done that the Mavic was fine. So this evening it was a nice day, I decided to bring the mavic to fly it, so I went over the Twin Peak (San Franisco) fly about 1/2 a miles and it came back safe, then I went by the ocean in Pacifica, I did not know what happen; everything was normal looking over the dji go 4 screen; suddenly I saw the screen flip and turns, at that time I knew the drones fell off from the sky. I hope Dji don't give any hard time in getting my replacement, because this incident is totally not my fault. I cannot retreive my mavic is in Pacific Ocean. Anyone can give me suggestion, I really appreciate it. Thanks.
sorry for the lost, you can try contact DJI support, send them flight record for analyze, if the problem come from drone itself, they will replace even you can't find it. but if it hit by a bird or controlling. you need to find your drone to use your refresher plan. I have had same problem before but it caused by drone itself and I found drone as well, they replaced free. good luck, hope you can have it back.

And one more advise, check the gps location of drone, and go to that beach, I can see it fall not far from beach, the wave may push it toward beach, good luck

I did walk around there. Nothing, I am assuming it sink to the bottom of the ocean.

It looks to me like you were flying practically directly into the sun. This probably confused the sensors and was the cause of the crash.
You need to watch the video, towards the end one of the motor gives out(or a bird hit the drone)...like really watch the video dude...
seems like it could be the new firmware issue. Were you on the latest .200 firmware. I have read about a few issues after the firmware update. even I had an issue with my drone just falling down after the upgrade, downgraded firmware and never had an issue, I know this does not help you though. sorry about your loss hope Dji gives you another drone.
