If you're interested in finding out the manufacturing date of your DJI Drone & Remote, they can be found by entering your Serial Number HERE
The battery date can be checked as well, however this information is available within the DJI Go 4 app (my batteries all displayed the next again day).
Interesting to know that my kit has been on a slow boat and gathering dust for 5 months before it was sold!

@ DJI   With the ever increasing reports of batteries falling out mid-flight, it would make good business sense to issue a battery retainer/lock to each Spark owner (with older batteries) rather than take a gamble on whether the Spark will fall out of the sky or not.  For the cost of a few $'s, you could save countless repairs, replacements, and potentially injury, death and litigation should the two seperate mid-flight.

What is more important...Customer satisfaction and safety, or profit?

The serial number check worked for me it said my Spark was made August 2018.  Thanks for the very helpful link.

Yep, you are right!

Sent Spark to DJI for repair and got it back two weeks ago and it still won't show intelligent modes. Have been dealing with tech support and they keep giving me things to try and no luck. DJI must hire customer support people off the street as every time I tell them what the problem is they put me on hold so they can ask someone what to tell me. I have sent 8 emails and spent over two hours on the phone and still cant get a fix or send it back again.

I have just exchanged my drone for a brand new one as other was fault but the manifacture date is over a year older !

If we enter the S/N on the "DJI serial decoder" and press enter, then the result show as Model: Unknown......What does it mean? Can we conclude that our drone is bogus?

If it show "Model: Unknown, build on..." what does it mean? can we conclude that the drone/battery/remote_controller are bogus?

Great information.  Is there also a webpage that provides information on your aircraft , controller etc. based on the serial number?  For example the VIN of a Car will tell you all about the car.  Type, Engine, Accessories and so on.  Where can I run my serial number and get the scoop on my Aircraft, controller etc.  Just the manufacturer date is Great, but what else can I find from the serial number and How?  Thank you

It didn’t have the Airsense feature though, the old one I’ve crashed had it.
