I seem to have been demoted. What are the levels based on? It doesn't make much of a difference I guess but wondering how the levels are determined.

You were not demoted, as level 4 is higher than 3
it was in fact an upgrade.

LOL - Level 1 is the lowest after beginner grade to level 4 the highest.
Then 2nd Officer with 1,000 points
1st Officer with 2,500
Captain with 5,000 or more (highest rank for general members)
