I believe that the DJI GO 4 is growing in size, there are many firmwares, many instructions, many different functionalities for each model and use of DJI products.

DJI could be able to split the application into two, for example:
1- DJI Go 2Fly - To fly, shoot and film;
2- DJI Go 2Create - To create, edit and share.

Yes, splitting DJI Go 4 App into "Controller App" and "Editor/Creator App" would be nice. I feel it take long time to load DJI Go 4 App now (IMHO).

Great idea.  The editor should be removed from Go 4 and pushed out as a standalone app.

I’d also like to be able to edit settings on the app without having to power up the Spark each time.
The changes could then be uploaded to the aircraft when connected (automatically or with a prompt).
If you use multiple devices, the most recent changes would take precedence.
This would save precious battery life and allow you to squeeze out some extra airtime.

What do you mean "they have already been able"? Are you aware of such apps or is this just a suggestion? - which is very very welcome by the way.

The current version of DJI GO 4 is actually loading a lot faster than previous iterations from 2017 (at least on my android phone).

The app editor is trash anyway.  It's basically bloatware. I agree, there should be a Go app for flight operations and a seperate app for content editing. Most people don't even use the cached video anyway. They used the video from SD card.

I think you have a good idea there.  I have my own editing software, so I would not download DJI's editing software.

I never use the built in editor. I always use Lightroom or Photoshop, lots more powerful and useful. So removing it from the app would be great.

But just removing all the annoynances may make it light enough.

I really like this Idea! It would be amazing having two separated apps for each purpose.Create, Edit and Share in the same app takes a lot of system resources.

it takes a long time because they added a whole layer a crypto to prevent patched/modded apps.
Whole app is encrypted with pretty hard stuff. This add quite a bunch of overhead !

Wow... good find!!! Just quickly screened Android DJI GO 4 app and it indeed looks like some crypto wrapper is taking place. Preliminary it looks like Secneo's suite of tools, but to be 100% sure I would have to do some more extensive analysis.

I would love to see the DJI Go4 Version 4.4.15 as DJI Go4S(park).
With OTG and offline maps.
Spark only use!

I used today the latest android app, why do I need to tell the app, I do not have a Mavic air but a Spark?
Also no map is painfull already, but wifi to RC Sucks, the lag is about 1 sec.  on the Redmi Note 4 (64/4) I used today, also very soon "'image transmission is weak, adjust antennas", but still on 2 bars on 5.8 in FCC.
Oh: And on wifi, the auto switching from 5.8 to 2.4, which is often happening when I fly with cable, did not happen once!
