I watched the video of how to use SmartCapture and hand gestures, but on my screen it is grayed out and I cant find any more info on this. That and the fact that there is no manual available yet. Very frustrated, any help?
Smart Capture is called Gesture Mode in the the Spark and you have to activate it first in the GO 4 settings menu. I can imagine that it is the same for Mavic Air. Check all the available settings in GO 4.
I just got mine today (02/02/18), and also had the SmartCapture greyed out. I checked for and installed a firmware update. The update gave me the Smart capture, as well as other capabilities.

NOTE: to those who came here via a Google search, the Mavic Air as of Feb 3 2018 is shipping with SmartCapture deactivated.
The DJI GO 4 app didn't offer the update.
You must use DJI Assistant 2 (desktop software) to perform a firmware update. I hate the DJI desktop software with all the obscure and spammy drivers installs but had no choice.

I never use Assistan 2 to upgrade, it never works with the remote, any remote!
When my air arrived I updated using the Go4 App as I do with my Mavic, always works!

I would have too but the Go 4 app didn't offer the firmware update, which led me to using Google to see what the problem is and found out that there is a firmware update avail.
