The admins can't help with stupid people, those stupid people made me by a new controller when nothing was wrong with my controller I was just asking those stupid people to return my old controller  and thats just to much to ask for, there is an old saying YOU CANT FIX STUPID and that would be DJI customer support.

Maybe it would be a good idea to show us what happened, usually dji won’t repair anything or replace anything until you confirm that you are ok to pay for replacement or repair.

Captain, I thought I explained it, they made me buy a new controller only because I had modified mine with a Itelite DBS Extender and voided my warranty, they also told me via phone call there was nothing wrong with my controller but would not return it to me, so thats why I'm so mad, I believe you would be to sir.

Captain, They told me it was there policy not to return parts to customers, I was called by several people from customer service and all of them would read from a script telling me they don't return customer parts, my problem as I said before they told me there was nothing wrong with my controller, ok then give my controller back to me, please!!!!!!!

So you admit voiding your warranty - yet you still sent it back?

Did you expect DJI would give you a new one by any chance, for free?

Did you clarify in writing first before sending away, that you would receive your controller back if there was no fault found or the likes?

If you voided the warranty - then why did you not take your controller to a 3rd party repair specialist?


Seems you are ranting at DJI for your mistake.


Sure - customer service can always be improved - but when you admit to having voided your warranty - and probably not reading the small print, regarding repair returns  - then who is to blame?

As for DJI making you buy a new controller - did they frog march you up to the store counter and 'make' you buy a new one - or were they standing behind you in a menacing way - and 'make' you buy a new controller online?

End of the day, you modified your controller.  You broke it.  No warranty replacement or freebie repair.

Did you ask them to repair the controller at your own cost?


Please don't think I'm trying to take the pi55 here - but I'm sure I am not the only one wondering if there is more to this.

Alabama, Im done with DJI I've talked to 3 different people from DJI from upper supervisor and they all give me the same crap, thanks but I don't see how they can help.

I was not looking anything for free I didn't have a  problem buying a new controller, my problem is why when I ask for my old controller to be returned and they can't follow those direction is my problem.

It may be worth a try as Alabama suggested earlier, ask one of the moderators to check your case number. They will do as much as they can to provide an answer. If your modified unit were not in warranty then they should have arranged to return it to you.

I sent it back because it would not connect to my bird after the last FW update DJI wanted both controller and bird returned.I was told by DJI controller was ok but I had modified therefor they had to replace, so I asked for the old controller to be returned.

Yes, I lost the controller and the extender, I understand I voided the warranty , not a problem, I purchase a new controller, but I told them return my old controller, but no one there was smart enought to understand that.

Well you obviously have already paid for two RC so you should have two, they need to get real here, that RC is not their property , it’s yours paid for from your hard earned money. If they have dumped or lost it you should be reimbursed.
