I'm going to be buying a mavic air some point soon and have been looking and various accessories for it.
Whilst looking for SD Cards I found a 64gb Samsung card, class 10, U3 and it says 100Mb/s read and 60mb/s write. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XFWPXYD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_iEJCAbW6M5CH9

Would this card be suitable?

Hi, according to the specs, Class 10 or UHS-1 rating is required, we're not able to confirm the compatibility of other types of SD cards. Therefore, we advise using the recommended SD cards which have been tested and verifies and could ensure the full functions. Hope it provides you with some info. SD card.png

I purchased  A Samsung 128GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSD EVO Select sd card from amazon to use in my Air and the 4K video and 30/25/24fps is all distorted, it gets all pixelated and green blobs appear its really annoying
https://www.amazon.com/gp/produc ... 00?ie=UTF8&th=1

However 2.7K seems to work OK
I was also experiencing this issue with the Internal storage I hope its not an issue with the unit itself

I just purchased another card on the approved list hopefully it will work better its the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC 64GB  https://www.amazon.com/gp/produc ... 0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I believe the card/device needs to write at 100 Mb's.  Were you using VLC to view the video above? I found on my Apple computer it was better to use QuickTime to view the videos, VLC seemed to reproduce what you have above. I also found that after I landed I needed to give the device a few seconds to stop writing the file or it corrupted (only whilst using my Toshiba 32GB Exceria SD card.

Hi DJI Admin ,

I just bought DJI Mavic Air.

Hi David, sorry to tell we don't have this memory card in hand at this moment, it is hard to say if it can work. However, we suggest using the card that we had tested and confirmed worked. Please refer to the list I posted on 3#, thank you for your support.

Yep, got the shaft on that card. Tested the speed. 5.5 Lbs. Tested a different card I have 10.8MBs. Got it on eBay and the seller is no longer active. So I guess I'm stuck with it.

So I contacted Ebay, They have a guarantee so even if the seller doesn't refund my money, Ebay will.

Hi Guys, just did a whole heap of reading to find the actual requirement's here it is in one fell swoop.
MB = Megabytes (8 bits to 1 byte), Mb = Megabits  - Most common mistake is how this is written, please use proper case sensitivity where you can
Mavic Air can do 4k at 100Mb/s (translates to 12.5MB/s
Class 10 is an old standard, ignore it.

UHS-I Class 1 does 10MBps (Megabytes)
UHS-I Class 3 does 30MBps (Megabytes)

If we need to write at 12.5MB/s (100Mb/s), we need a UHS-I Class 3  card, IGNORE ALL READ SPEED CLAIMS
Everything claims to read at 1593850TBps, it's what it writes at that counts

And for the guy with corruption in his video, that's your renderer I think, computer's too slow to render 4k, which is a very real thing, it's a beast to decode.
Usually you'll drop frames if you can't write quite enough, that's the indicator.

In addition to the above, here's an example of where the confusion lies. The UHS-I Class 1 card from Samsung happens to be able to WRITE at 20MB/s, that is ABOVE the 10MB/s requirement for the UHS-I Class 1 standard, but below the UHS-I Class 3 standard (30MB/s I believe), so it will in fact work with the Mavic Air - you don't need to "be safe" and get a Class 3, as mentioned you just need to know what you're buying will write at more than 12.5MB/s Class 3 is easy, but if you can find the write speed, as Samsung's website has helpfully listed in this case, this card will do just fine, despite being Class 1.

Hello,

I bought the Sandisk 64Gb Extreme Pro.
During checking the recorded video quality was very bad. You could count the pixels.
After some research I found out probably I had to format it first in the Mavic Air before shooting right away. (now formatted as exFAT when formatted in the drone)

Did some quick shootings with the drone and it looks ok now. (still have to check during flight)
Internal 8GB is formatted as FAT.

Question: the ones with 64Gb or more, is it also formatted as exFAT (32GB and less is formatted as FAT I gues)

Hey Malzuko, I've had video just like that for the last 5 days. Was about to return the MA under warranty, but fixed it with one last try! I set up the MA ready to fly (Controller, phone, MA all on and ready), then connected to my Mac via usb cable. I opened the Assistant 2 app and ran the camera calibration procedure. Video now works perfectly again! Happy days. Hope that works for you.

[view_image]

As you point out, the Write MB/s (Mega Bytes per second) is critical number.
Not that you want a card with a slow Read speed, but in almost ever case, Read speed exceeds Write speed.

There is one other Tidbit that is hidden by even a decent Write MB/s speed.  Chalk it up to competition and Marketing Hype.   The Write speeds vary by Block size of data written and Format of micro/SD card.  Part of it is whether micro/SD card has internal buffering / Caching.
Anyway, the Highest Write speed obtained is what is generally Marketed, not lowest or even average Write speed.

Hi Thor does MP work with 128Gb?

Yes, according to Mavic Pro's specs, max capacity: 128 GB. Class 10 or UHS-1 rating required.
Please kindly choose original SD card from the SD card company, which can ensure the full test of its stability and compatibility.
